As entertaining and informative as this video was, I can't help but be slightly annoyed that there were two promos and I got two UA-cam adverts during the video on top of that. Could you milk a 10 min video for any more cash and exposure?

It's always good to try to make your film "look like an A24 movie" even if you don't know what that means! Just go ahead and put different colored bulbs throughout a house for no reason!

In regards to the briefcase. I knew a few stock brokers in the 90's who flipped weed on the side. They would show up with a briefcase filled with a couple p's. If the film is taking place in the 90's or early 2000s, the briefcase may hold up.

Those Tascam recorders really punch way above their weight for the price that's asked. I've got the 60D Mkii and it's the best bit of audio kit I got to complement my camera setup, although I really do like the slimline profile of the 70D and might try and do a swap one day...

I would not recommend shotgun for any interiors, better quality audio is with cardioid or hypercardioid mics.

Bags of money are always way too big in movies. $1m is only 10k $100 bills it would not fill a huge duffel bag. And in Europe with €500 euro notes it would fit in a really small bag.

Back when I was little, my father would ask why do the perfect news always show up as the chracter turns on the TV? Like, so perfect timing, like the solar system has aligned. I think it's really funny cliche that's cool if it happens in real life.

Those laurel leaves, long ass credits, and fancy logo animation are so pretentious. Start humble, don't make yourself look like a big name because you are not and you'll just be tainting your reputation in the future. I'm not saying you should not put laurel leaves or have so many crews, but use them occasionally.

You missed one of the key ingredients of Excellent Terrible Short Film making: it _needs_ to be a breakup drama with a romantic montage in the middle that's a logistical nightmare to schedule, ending with the guy leaving because he got "the job" on the opposite end of the country.
